All For Humanity Launch Party

On October 4, 2008 ALL FOR HUMANITY held their official launch party at the Big Rock Brewery in Calgary AB.  We would like to express our thanks to the staff and management of the Big Rock Brewery for the amazing meal they provided.  The event featured a video presentation of our projects in Ve deme Ghana and Putumayo Colombia, a silent auction and a raffle.  Much time and effort went into the evening, and with the 180+ tickets sold it was every success we had hoped for.  It was extremely gratifying for us to be among our friends and family as we shared our experiences in Ghana and Colombia, and our vision for the future of ALL FOR HUMANITY.  Thanks to the outstanding support of the attendees we raised over $8000.  This money will have a tremendous impact on the lives of the children at the orphanages in Ghana and the Maria Auxilliadora School in Colombia!  We also received $6000 in pledges towards an education fund that will pay the school fees for children who would otherwise have no opportunity to continue beyond a basic education.

We are overwhelmed by the emotional and financial support we have received.  As we now focus on putting our projects into action, we also look forward to making the ALL FOR HUMANITY fundraiser an annual event.
